Steward Health Care International opens Clínica Los Nevados in Pereira, Colombia
We are pleased to announce that as of 25 July 2023, the city of Pereira, Colombia, is home to the latest milestone in our global healthcare expansion: the Clínica Los Nevados. This is a landmark building in the city which has reopened after 10 years. The clinic houses 195 beds, including 30 intensive care beds and 19 emergency observation beds, providing complex services such as cardiology, and diagnostic and therapeutic support.
In our ongoing commitment to provide superior medical care, we have established a state-of-the-art health Hospital in Pereira that takes our mission one step further. The Clínica Los Nevados not only represents a breakthrough in the Colombian healthcare sector, but also symbolises our dedication to improving the lives of people around the world through exceptional healthcare. With capacity for more than 1000 hospitalisations, 850 surgical procedures, 3500 emergency consultations, 7200 outpatient consultations and 33,000 support procedures per month, we will contribute to solving the region's health problems.
This new hospital, equipped with advanced technology and expert staff, will provide comprehensive, high-quality health services to the community of Pereira and the coffee-growing region. From diagnosis to treatment and follow-up, our new facility is prepared to handle a wide range of medical needs with the efficiency and empathy that characterises Steward Health Care.
In addition to improving access to exemplary healthcare in the region, the Clínica Los Nevados in Pereira aims to strengthen the local economy. The clinic will employ more than 120 administrative staff, 500 health professionals, more than 100 specialists in varying areas of expertise, and at least 100 indirect jobs in support services.
