Steward International Appoints Michael B. Davis as President of Middle East
Steward International is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael B. Davis as the company's new President of the Middle East. Mr. Davis, a highly experienced and skilled healthcare leader, assumed his role in May and will be responsible for overseeing Steward's portfolio in the MENA region, including the regional headquarters in Riyadh and Dubai.
Mr. Davis most recently served as the CEO of NMC Healthcare, the largest private healthcare provider in the UAE with operations across the GCC. With extensive experience in various healthcare verticals, including multi-specialty hospitals, long-term care, home care and rehabilitation, cosmetic surgery and aesthetics, IVF and fertility, and operations and management, Mr. Davis brings 36 years of clinical and operational expertise in the USA, UK, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Having held senior executive positions in US-based healthcare systems, Mr. Davis relocated to the UAE in 2013, where he served as the CEO of ProVita International Medical Center, the first provider of long-term acute care in the UAE. In 2017, he joined NMC's corporate strategic leadership team as the Group Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the company's expansion into the Saudi Arabian and UK healthcare markets and the establishment of the Saudi Medical Care Group. In his most recent role as CEO, Mr. Davis played an integral role in the restructuring of NMC and the divestment of non-core international assets.
Mr. Davis succeeds Dr. Marc-David Munk, who has led Steward Middle East for the past four years.
